If you’ve read yesterday’s blog on a recent UK court ruling and feel moved to do something about it, consider prayer as your best weapon. Here are some prayer points:
*Pray that Christians in the UK might stand up for “traditional” biblical values and stand strong against moral relativism.
Matt. 5:13, “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.”
*Pray that through this ruling the Church in the UK might grasp more fully that their battle is not against humans and individuals but against unseen spiritual forces.
Ephesians 6:12, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
*Pray that genuine compassion and love of others might so characterize Christians throughout the UK that their critics would be silenced and ashamed.
Colossians 3:12, “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”
*Pray for Eunice and Owen Johns, that despite the disheartening court ruling against them they might be blessed and that their love for God and man may continue to grow.
Matt. 5:11-12, “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
